Astris Finance was incorporated in 2000 as a US LLC domiciled in Washington DC, USA. Astris maintains a permanent staff that constitutes the Execution Group, based in Washington, Mexico and Paris. All support activities are orchestrated from Washington DC. Astris management receives strategic guidance and support from the Company’s Advisory Board. Our Advisory Board gathers a select number of highly qualified senior professionals with diverse backgrounds in the financing, government and industry spheres. Where relevant, Astris Finance also relies on a network of sector specialists associated with the firm.

Mr. Ducos comes to Astris after an eighteen year career with Dexia. While with Dexia, Mr. Ducos acted as arranger, lender, financial advisor, or equity investor for more than 80 transactions in the electricity, oil and gas, transport, environmental services and telecommunications industries, representing more than USD 60 billion in investment. Notable positions for Mr. Ducos while with Dexia include: (i) Deputy Head of Financial Markets and Member of the Public and Project Finance Executive Committee from 2005 to 2007, (ii) Chairman of the Public and Project Finance Credit Committee from 2002 until 2005, (iii) Chief Risk Officer from 2000 to 2002, and (iv) Business Head from the Americas from 1996 to 2000.

Mr. Ducos received his graduate degree in pure and financial mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique as well as a master's diploma in economics, finance, and statistics from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE), both in Paris. Mr. Ducos is fluent in French and English and conversant in Spanish.
