Astris Finance was incorporated in 2000 as a US LLC domiciled in Washington DC, USA. Astris maintains a permanent staff that constitutes the Execution Group, based in Washington, Mexico and Paris. All support activities are orchestrated from Washington DC. Astris management receives strategic guidance and support from the Company’s Advisory Board. Our Advisory Board gathers a select number of highly qualified senior professionals with diverse backgrounds in the financing, government and industry spheres. Where relevant, Astris Finance also relies on a network of sector specialists associated with the firm.

Splitting time between Bangkok and Washington DC, Mr. Powers serves as Astris’s primary programmer and VBA modeler; he is also the primary resident Associate for the Asian market.  Selected experience for Mr. Powers includes a tourism project in Honduras, highway projects in Panama and the Dominican Republic, and a light train project in Mexico.

Prior to joining Astris, Mr. Powers served as Senior Software Developer for IntelliDyne LLC of Falls Church, Virginia, where he developed a number of innovative programs and a significant body of proprietary code.  Mr. Powers holds a BS from Washington University (2002) in St. Louis, where he majored in both computer science and finance, graduating cum laude overall and summa cum laude within his majors.  Mr. Powers is fluent in English, conversant in Thai, and proficient in Spanish; he specializes in complex stochastic modeling and the development of algorithms for financial models.
