Fabrice Henry

Managing Director

Fabrice Henry is Managing Director in charge of the firm’s investment advisory and asset management lines of business. With more than 18 years of infrastructure experience, he has worked in a variety of roles, including financial advisor, M&A advisor, bond arranger and principal lender. He specializes in the development, structuring and financing of infrastructure concessions – working with project developers to define a project’s scope and fundamental economics, optimize its risk allocation, define and negotiate the contractual framework, and raise the necessary capital in the form of debt and equity. Fabrice has advised on more than 40 infrastructure and energy projects at Astris, totaling more than USD 4 billion in financing.

As a founding partner of Astris, Fabrice was Managing Director in charge of structured finance from 2000 until 2006, when he was relocated to Paris by Dexia, the firm’s then majority shareholder, to become Global Head of Origination, Syndication and Principal Finance. In this capacity, he oversaw close to € 6 billion in yearly infrastructure and municipal bond underwriting and principal lending.

Fabrice began his career in 1989 as project manager for a large Anglo-Asian construction company in Hong Kong. In 1992, he joined the French Ministry of Infrastructure, where he developed the first public-private partnerships for universities, hospitals and administrative buildings in the Paris region. In 1994, Fabrice was hired by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Washington DC to act as infrastructure finance specialist, establishing and operating the institution’s municipal infrastructure finance group for Central America and Mexico.

Fabrice received his graduate degree in pure and financial mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique (1988), as well as a master's diploma in civil engineering and urban planning from Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées (1991). He has also received executive training from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Stern School of Business at New York University, and the New York Institute of Finance.

Fabrice is fluent in French, English, and Spanish and conversational in German and Portuguese.
