Anaïs Gardien

Anaïs Gardien joined Astris Finance in 2017 as Senior Associate. Prior to that, Anaïs worked at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and BNP Paribas CIB (BNPP). At the GCF, Anaïs was leading the negotiation of financing agreements for the public-sector division and performing advisory services to countries and entities seeking support from the GCF with the private sector division. Before joining the GCF, Anaïs was Associate at BNPP within the Project Finance division. First in Paris to cover the EMEA region, then in New York to cover the Latin America region and then São Paolo to cover the Brazilian market. She was responsible for reviewing and negotiating financing documents, drafting and presenting internal credit documents to the risk committee and financial modeling. Anais participated to several landmark transactions in emerging markets such as Deutsche Banks’s USD 500 million Universal Green Energy Access Program in Sub-Saharan Africa (2016), the PEN 629 million Linea 1 Metro de Lima project bond (2015) in Peru and the USD 890 million Los Ramones II gas pipeline financing (2014) in Mexico.

Anaïs holds a Master in Finance Cum Laude from Sciences Po Paris. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Victor Owen

Victor joined Astris in June 2012. Prior to Astris, Victor worked in Société Générale’s Energy Project Finance team in Paris. At Société Générale, Victor participated in the structuring of transactions in the power sector (coal-fired, nuclear, renewables) and oil and gas sector (LNG plant, refinery, petrochemical plant). He was involved in the review of financial models and the financing documents of the transactions.

Victor holds an M.S. in International Management and a certificate in Energy & Finance from French leading business school HEC Paris (Paris, France). Victor is fluent in English and French and conversant in Spanish.

Diana Marroquin

Diana joined Astris in January 2015. Prior to Astris, Diana worked at Structure Banca de Inversión in Bogotá. At Structure, Diana participated as financial director of a variety of projects, including the structuring of infrastructure concessions for the public sector (airports, roads, etc.), and the valuation of companies and projects in the energy and gas sectors.

Diana holds a BS in Business from the Los Andes University. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.

Rafael Estrela

Rafael Estrela joined Astris in June 2013 in the São Paulo’s office. Prior to joining Astris, Rafael spent two years in Private Equity at Artesia, where he led several buy-side investment analysis of companies in a wide range of different sectors, such as consumer goods, health care services, education and agribusiness, as well as assisted senior management during several acquisition processes. Prior to his tenure with Artesia, Rafael worked at Standard & Poor’s, performing corporate credit risk analysis. At Astris, Rafael has been very active in the energy sector in Brazil: he has been involved as lead modeler and assisted throughout execution of several M&A and project finance transactions in the transmission line and power sectors. Rafael also participated in cross-border M&A transactions in the same sectors.

Rafael holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Omar Lahlou

Omar Lahlou BW pic.jpg

Omar joined Astris Finance in September 2017 as an Associate based in Paris. Prior Astris Finance, Omar spent two years at EY in Paris within the Project Finance team. At EY, Omar took part in numerous engagements where he advised public entities and sponsors focusing on French Infrastructure and PPP Projects. Before that Omar spent three years at Resonance Advisory, a Project Finance advisory boutique in France.

Omar graduated from HEC Paris with a Master in Management. Omar is a dual-citizen from Morocco and France and speaks French, English and Arabic.

Juan P. Hernandez

Juan Pablo Hernandez joined Astris Finance early in 2013. Since then he has participated in several infrastructure projects such as the financing of the Audi Platform in Puebla and the Circuito Interior in Mexico City, assisting senior management in the preparation of documents at all stages of the projects. In addition Juan Pablo has been very active in the energy sector where he has assisted in the structuring of a hydroelectric power plant and has been lead modeler in solar and gas pipeline projects for international sponsors.

Juan Pablo has a BA in Applied Mathematics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Cristina Begue Hoyos

Cristina joined Astris Finance in June 2016. Prior to that she did a one year internship at BNP Paribas in New York, where she supported senior team members with the structuring and execution of non-recourse debt financings for infrastructure assets across Latin America and the Caribbean region. She participated in the refinancing of the El Dorado Airport in Bogotá, assisting in the due diligence process, negotiation of credit documentation, and the preparation of documents at all stages of the project. She also worked for more than one year at Banca de Inversión Bancolombia, where she was infrastructure projects analyst and participated in the preparation of pitch books and marketing material for clients.

Cristina holds a MSc in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia (Colombia). Cristina is fluent in Spanish, English, and French
