Madrid, June 2026. Astris Finance congratulates its client OX2 on the financial close of a long-term project financing package for two renewable energy projects in Poland: the 165 MWp Lion solar farm in the Lubuskie Voivodeship and the 50 MW / 120 MWh Osiek battery energy storage facility in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
The Lion solar farm will be one of the largest operational solar installations in Poland. It is expected to generate approximately 184 GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual consumption of around 51,000 Polish households. The project secured offtake support in a December 2024 renewable energy capacity auction. The Osiek battery storage facility will provide 50 MW / 120 MWh of flexibility to the Polish electricity system, supporting the integration of renewable energy and contributing to grid stability. It was secured under a 17-year agreement in the main 2027 capacity market auction and is one of the very first BESS utility-scale projects to be built in the country.
The financing package was provided by NORD/LB and CaixaBank.
Astris acted as exclusive financial advisor to OX2 on this transaction. This closing further reinforces Astris's position as a leading advisor in the European renewable energy and storage financing market and adds to the firm's growing track record in Poland.
