Kelvin Vuong

Kelvin joined Astris’ Vietnam office in 2018. Since joining our team, Kelvin has been responsible for day-to-day coordination with banks, clients and related stakeholders in Vietnam.

Mr. Vuong has 8 years of working experience in Vietnam, in the development, financing, and management of projects in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure and real estate. In doing so, Kelvin has acquired a solid understanding of Infrastructure & Energy market in Vietnam and has been instrumental in handling the closing & disbursement of the term loan facility for the Dam Nai wind project. Recently, Kelvin has involved through the complete process of the credit process, negotiation & signing of a Credit Agreement for a long term project financing for a solar project in Vietnam.

Kelvin Vuong graduated First Class with Honor, majoring in Finance, from NUS Business School, Singapore. He later completed a joint Master in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences & Rotterdam School of Management and is fluent in Vietnamese and English.

Juan P. Hernández

Juan Pablo Hernandez joined Astris Finance early in 2013. Since then he has participated in several infrastructure projects such as the financing of the Audi Platform in Puebla and the Circuito Interior in Mexico City, assisting senior management in the preparation of documents at all stages of the projects. In addition Juan Pablo has been very active in the energy sector where he has assisted in the structuring of a hydroelectric power plant and has been lead modeler in solar and gas pipeline projects for international sponsors.

Juan Pablo has a BA in Applied Mathematics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Cristina Begue Hoyos

Cristina joined Astris Finance in June 2016. Prior to that she did a one year internship at BNP Paribas in New York, where she supported senior team members with the structuring and execution of non-recourse debt financings for infrastructure assets across Latin America and the Caribbean region. She participated in the refinancing of the El Dorado Airport in Bogotá, assisting in the due diligence process, negotiation of credit documentation, and the preparation of documents at all stages of the project. She also worked for more than one year at Banca de Inversión Bancolombia, where she was infrastructure projects analyst and participated in the preparation of pitch books and marketing material for clients.

Cristina holds a MSc in Finance from Grenoble Graduate School of Business (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia (Colombia). Cristina is fluent in Spanish, English, and French

Joaquin Fernandez-Salvador

Joaquin joined the Washington, DC office of Astris Finance in July 2015. Prior to that he worked as an intern in Astris during the summer of 2014 and the first half of 2015. During this time he has been involved in the photovoltaic energy and infrastructure sectors in a variety of countries, assisting throughout the development and execution stages of several project finance transactions.

Joaquin has a BA in Economics and a minor in Political Science from Georgetown University, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is fluent in Spanish and English, and conversant in Portuguese.

Javier I. Osegueda

Javier Ivan joined Astris Finance on January 2016 in the Mexico City office. Since Javier joined our team, he has worked as an analyst in the financing, restructuring and bid offer preparation for renewable plants, airports, highways, railways and urban infrastructure projects in several countries in Latin America and under diverse contractual structures. Now based in Paris, he has been focusing on the financing execution and modelling under Project Finance schemes.

 Javier holds a BA in Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and has passed the Level III exam of the CFA Program. He is fluent in Spanish & English and has an upper intermediate level of French.

Max Ribbens

Max joined Astris in June 2019. Prior to that, he worked as a project finance advisor at Rebel Group, an advisory firm active in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. At Rebel, he worked on several advisory mandates ranging from infrastructure and offshore wind tenders, to the structuring of non-recourse debt financing. Max started his career at Rabobank, where he completed a corporate trainee-ship program and worked at the corporate lending department.

Max graduated from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics with a Master in Economics and he has a BSc from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in Dutch and English and conversational in Spanish.
